On this, our second full day at sea with 3 more to go to Easter island, I've learned that rough seas and working out are not compatible. Screws up my equilibrium and I lose the afternoon to laying down.
That said, there is still a lot to do. Lectures, Trivia, bridge, concerts, shows, and food. Oh dear Lord, the food. Last night we attended the Chef's Table for French Night. I did a FB photo montage on the menu, the courses and the wine but not sure I can duplicate that many photos on the blog. Thank you, thank you Jill Nagle, the world's best Travel Agent who gifted us with that memorable meal experience.
The internet and WiFi are spotty at best depending on where you are on the ship, how many people are on it at the moment, etc. But - we have some and that's good. I can usually call home too with my phone plan.
The waves/swells are still higher than I would like making everyone look like a drunken sailor walking the corridors. Some women have even worn heels to dinner which is just asking for it in my opinion.
For a small ship we are very fortunate with entertainment. Most ships this size can't accommodate a band, singers/dancers, piano player, DJ, speciality acts. Tonight we had a performance by Bellisima, 2 women with stunning opera trained voices, mixing Classical music with musicals. Wonderful. Tomorrow night a magician will be performing.
The two things we haven't done yet is sunbathe or swim at the pool or sit in a deck chair and read. It's been too windy, and frankly, the last two days, too chilly.
It amazes me how many people we've met travel ALL the time. A lot of them have been everywhere and they're still going. I played bridge with a couple today who had just "done" South America and are using this trip from Lima to Auckland as a taxi home to where they live in Australia.
Today we were told we will get to see the Super Bowl and there will be a big party! May not get to see it live but we will get it. Go Chiefs!!
Taken me so long to get this written we're now finishing up our third full day at sea.
I tried photos but having too much trouble so will sign off for now.
Stay tuned
